Internship Period: February 1, 2019 to July 30, 2019 [6 months]
- Implemented the Electronics Framework, Introduced Repetier server support and devised the Firmware for FibrBot 1K (India’s Largest 3D printer).
- Developed and upgraded Firmware for 3D printers. The upgrade’s included provision for resuming 3D prints on power loss,Thermal runaway safety feature, Auto bed leveling feature on uneven print bed
- Independently, conceptualized a PID controlled Coater machine which can produce Carbon fiber composite filaments for 3D printing.
- Developed a Power Loss Data Logger module to track power failure’s: Made in response to the problems imposed by untrackable power failures. The Arduino controller saves a notepad file on to the SD card when the arduino is powered. The notepad file logs the data when the power was on and off. Resin mixed with Fiber is stored in cooling units which stops it from the process of curing. But due to unexpected power failures at night, when no is around, the curing process of resin starts and it becomes difficult to track the process.
